Father Gift Pham, a priest of the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., is a courageous and inspiring figure whose life and work exemplify the power of faith, service, and love.
Born in Vietnam in 1962, Father Pham grew up during the Vietnam War. He witnessed firsthand the horrors of war and the suffering of his people. After the war, he fled Vietnam with his family and spent several years in a refugee camp in Thailand. In 1980, he came to the United States and settled in the Washington, D.C. area.
Father Pham was ordained a priest in 1990. He has served as pastor of several parishes in the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., and has also worked extensively with refugees, immigrants, the poor, the sick, and the homeless.
Father Pham is known for his tireless work on behalf of the poor and marginalized. He has founded several programs to help the homeless, including the Gift of Love Soup Kitchen and the Gift of Love Food Pantry. He has also worked extensively with refugees and immigrants, helping them to find housing, jobs, and other resources.
In addition to his work with the poor and marginalized, Father Pham is also a gifted spiritual director and retreat leader. He has helped countless people to grow in their faith and to find deeper meaning in their lives.
