About the Author
Ira Mukhoty is a historian and writer. She is the author of two previous books, including the award-winning Taj Mahal: The True Story. Mukhoty has a PhD in history from the University of Cambridge and has taught at several universities, including Oxford University and Columbia University. She is currently a professor of history at the University of California, San Diego.
