Thanksgiving on Thursday is the 21st book in the Magic Tree House series. It tells the story of Jack and Annie, two siblings who find a magical tree house that can transport them to different times and places. In this adventure, they travel back in time to the first Thanksgiving, where they learn about the history of the holiday and meet some of the Pilgrims who celebrated it.
Jack and Annie are excited to spend Thanksgiving with their family, but their plans are interrupted when they find the Magic Tree House in the woods. The tree house takes them back in time to Plymouth, Massachusetts, in 1621. They meet Squanto, a Native American who helps the Pilgrims survive their first winter in the New World. Squanto teaches Jack and Annie about the Wampanoag people and their culture.
Jack and Annie also learn about the Pilgrims. They meet William Bradford, the governor of Plymouth Colony, and Myles Standish, the military leader. They learn about the Pilgrims' struggles and their determination to build a new life in the New World.
On Thanksgiving Day, Jack and Annie join the Pilgrims and Wampanoags for a feast. They eat turkey, pumpkin pie, and other traditional Thanksgiving foods. They also learn about the importance of giving thanks. Jack and Annie are grateful for the food they eat, the family they love, and the freedom they enjoy.
Thanksgiving on Thursday is a heartwarming and educational story about the history of Thanksgiving. It is a perfect book for children who are learning about the holiday or who are interested in history. The book is also a reminder of the importance of giving thanks for the good things in our lives.
